I completely agree with your comments on the recent Panaroma programme. I too sat down hoping this time round the BBC were going to provide a rounded view of the telemarketing industry but it was same old, same old. Let’s tar the whole industry with the same ‘scumbag’ brush and reinforce to the general public how ‘bad’ telemarketing is. Let’s ignore how effective and valuable it is to companies in generating new business and helping improve the economy. If only the ICO would fine someone it may make these companies sit up and take more notice.
